Pajama Christmas Brunch

We truly had a wonderful Christmas this year!
We were just going to get together to wear our pajamas, watch Christmas movies and munch on popcorn, but then my Auntie Tonia wanted to have Ham so I suggest we have a Pajamas Christmas Brunch. Mom decided we should all get together at 1pm so it give everyone time in the morning to have Christmas morning at their homes. We had an amazing brunch consist of ham, turkey sausage, eggs, biscuits, grits, and fruit. For dessert my Auntie made a yummy breakfast sweet called Cinnamon Bun cake which was absolutely delicious! We listened to Christmas music and played a game called, "All I Want for Christmas". We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well.
Merry Christmas!

We always start with Prayer!

Mardi Gras in December!

Our Mardi Gras Birthday Celebration turned out wonderful!
My Mom wanted to host a birthday celebration because my sissy and Angel baby were coming to visit from Louisiana and for all the birthdays we did not get to celebrate before the year was over. So we celebrated my Birthday, DJ's, my Sissy Red's, Auntie, and Angel Baby's birthday. My Mom wanted to cook shrimp & girts I suggested we have a Mardi Gras party. The Mardi Gras theme wasn't easy to pull off since there where hardly anything Mardi Gras in stores. It was hard to find Mardi Gras stuff in December, but I manged to pull it off. We ate, sang, danced, played games and just had an amazing time!

So here are the family pictures from our Mardi Gras Birthday Celebration

We were so happy that sissy and Angel baby were home to visit!

For drinks I made Hurricane punch and everyone really loved it!

Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring & Crockpot Hot Chocolate

With literally only 8 more days left until Christmas I thought it would be a great time to share some Holiday recipes with you.

I don't know if you remember the sticky Bun Breakfast Ring I made last year for Christmas morning. If not see it here.

Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring

2 small tubes refrigerator buttermilk or 1 tube Phillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuits (I used 1 1/2 tubes of Grands biscuits)
 3 tbsp. Butter,melted
1/2 cup pancake syrup (Mrs. Butterworth)
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional
1/4 cup chopped almonds, optional

 1. Spray a bunet cake pan with non-stick spray. (I use Pam)

 2. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside.

 3. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts

 4. Place half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan.

 5. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top. Lay the biscuits on the bottom of the pan, overlapping edges (closely together) to form a ring. Top with remaining syrup and sugar mixture.

 6. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 20-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute in the pan, then invert onto a serving platter and Enjoy! :-)

These Hot sticky buns taste amazing with a glass of cold milk or you can pair it with some yummy hot cocoa like I did!

 Crockpot Hot Chocolate

1/2 cup dry baking Cocoa (I used Hershey's Cocoa)
12 oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
7 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Marshmallow

 1. Combine water and milk in the crockpot

 2. Then stir in the Cocoa, vanilla, salt, and sweetened condensed milk

 3. Keep stirring!

4. Stir, then cook HIGH for 2 hours or until hot.

Enjoy!

Every year for the past couple of years it has been a tradition of ours to take family pictures around the Holidays. We don't necessarily take them for Christmas cards Mom just always wants to get us all together to for memories! Every year she chooses a different color and this year she picked Coral. Mom favorite color is Coral! Angel baby wouldn't smile in any of the pictures except for one, but the pictures still turned out Beautiful and I can't wait to share! After taking pictures we had our favorite food lunch Mexican food!
